This project will require support from both the local and federal government. RFK Stadium is currently operated by Events DC, a quasi-public organization affiliated with the city government,. The property is owned by the National Park Service and was leased to Events DC until 2038. Demolition of RFK Stadium is currently underway, however, no definite plans have been set for the property’s future.

This effort will require outreach to DC City Council, DC Mayor’s Office, Events DC officials, and ANC (Advisory Neighborhood Commission) leaders.
Lobby Federal Representatives.
Construction and maintenance of the National Debate Center will require an allocation from the federal budget. The District of Columbia has a non-voting representative in Congress who can be instrumental in winning support for this plan.
